Black Pepper is a perennial woody vine that grows up to five metres high and has heart shaped leaves and small white flowers. As the berries mature, they turn from red to black. When the berries are still black, they are dried and these are what is known as Black Pepper. Black Pepper essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the crushed and dried peppercorns. Black Pepper blends well with Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Rosemary and Marjoram essential oils. Uses Essential Oils should not be used directly on the skin and should be combined with "Carrier Oils" and massaged into the skin or used as follows: Bathing: Add 5 to 10 drops directly to your bath Bath Oils: 2 drops of essential oil to a teaspoon of Carrier Oil added to your bath Sauna: Add 2-3 drops of oil to 500ml (17 fl.oz) water and add to the heat source Massage Oil: 2-3 drops in 1 teaspoon (5ml) of Carrier Oil Oil Burners: Few drops diluted with water Caution Do not use undiluted essential oils directly on the skin.
