Cedarwood is a large evergreen tree that grows up to 40m (130ft) high. The wood is very hard and strongly aromatic as it contains a high percentage of essential oil which is extracted by steam distillation of the wood and sawdust. Cedarwood blends well with the following essential oils: Bergamot, Jasmine, Neroli, Frankincense, Clary Sage, Vetiver, Rosemary and Ylang Ylang. Country of Origin Our Cedarwood Essential Oil is produced from trees grown in the Atlas Mountains. Key Qualities Warming, tonic, comforting, uplifting. Uses Essential Oils should not be used directly on the skin and should be combined with "Carrier Oils" and massaged into the skin or used as follows: Bathing: Add 5 to 10 drops directly to your bath Bath Oils: 2 drops of essential oil to a teaspoon of Carrier Oil added to your bath Sauna: Add 2-3 drops of oil to 500ml (17 fl.oz) water and add to the heat source Massage Oil: 2-3 drops in 1 teaspoon (5ml) of Carrier Oil Oil Burners: Few drops diluted with water Caution Do not use undiluted essential oils directly on the skin.
