Clary Sage is a stout biennial or perennial herb that grows up to one metre in height. It has large, hairy leaves that are generally green with a hint of purple and small blue flowers.

Clary Sage oil is generally produced by steam distillation of the flowering tops and leaves.

Clary Sage blends well with Lavender, Geranium, Sandalwood, Jasmine and Bergamot.

Uses

Essential Oils should not be used directly on the skin and should be combined with "Carrier Oils" and massaged into the skin or used as follows:

Bathing: Add 5 to 10 drops directly to your bath
Bath Oils: 2 drops of essential oil to a teaspoon of Carrier Oil added to your bath
Sauna: Add 2-3 drops of oil to 500ml (17 fl.oz) water and add to the heat source
Massage Oil: 2-3 drops in 1 teaspoon (5ml) of Carrier Oil
Oil Burners: Few drops diluted with water

Caution

Do not use undiluted essential oils directly on the skin.
